On May 2, 2024, the National Anti-Doping Agency conducted an anti-doping training for coaches and athletes from the Specialized Sports School of Athletics. Through this training, they understood not only the importance of respecting sports rules, but also the negative consequences of doping on health them and the integrity of the competitions.
The most relevant aspects in anti-doping, the roles and responsibilities of coaches, violations of anti-doping regulations, the list of prohibited substances and methods were presented, explaining the negative effects of doping substances and the sanctions applied to athletes. In addition to these, the risks of administering drugs and food supplements were highlighted, as well as the danger of unintentionally violating anti-doping regulations through the lens of the principle of strict responsibility. At the same time, a broad description of the doping control procedure, the localization program and the exemptions for therapeutic use was presented. The National Anti-Doping Agency explained to the athletes about the major importance of fair play and ethical behavior in sports.
