The National Anti-Doping Agency together with the National Olympic and Sport Committee organized a conference on "National Anti-Doping Program - Features and Perspectives" on Tuesday, November 28th
with the participation of representatives of national sports federations, aiming to strengthen joint efforts to protect clean sport .
In this event were presented the particularities of the implementation of the national anti-doping program, the list of prohibited substances and methods for 2018, with the identification of the latest amendments and the explanation of the negative effects of the doping substances on the athlete’s health. At the same time, the procedure for requesting and granting therapeutic use exemptions was announced. In the context of strengthening joint efforts to prevent doping, special attention was given to the role of the National Sports Federations in the development and implementation of annual plans for the prevention of doping in sport. In addition, the issue of harmonization of national legislation was discussed, with the presentation of the draft acts of the Agency. Finally, the status of the Collaboration Agreements for 2018 was discussed in order to increase the efficiency of cooperation between the Agency and the National Sports Federations.
Conducting of this conference is part of the Agency's action plan for organizing the annual meeting with national federations with the aim to inform about the features of the anti-doping program and to communicate the latest anti-doping news in sport.
